Fans reacted to Rick Ross’s explanation about his ongoing feud with Drake, saying, “Drake is responsible for 90% of your hits.”

Dr. Drake and Rick Ross have been fighting for a while now. The problems started with the latter’s hate track “Push Ups,” on which Drizzy seemed to target Ross along with Kendrick Lamar, Metro Boomin, Future, and The Weeknd.

Ross most recently talked about the fight in an interview on the podcast Caresha Please on September 13, 2024. Ross said Drake was to blame for the fights between them, and he responded to Push Ups’ mention of his name by saying:

“Don’t do that.” Even more so when it’s not about anything important. But when you do that, that’s great, that’s how we’re going to play. I like that. I could wake up every day and say something like “BBL Drizzy” or something else while I smoke a joint, listen to waterfalls, and watch the birds. “That was simple for me.”

People on social media are already really into the interview clip with Rick Ross, and they shared their thoughts in the comments part of The Shade Room’s Instagram post. One of them wrote in response as a Drake fan: Many other Drake fans joined the conversation to show their support for the rapper. One of them said Drake didn’t mention Rick’s name in the song. One person wrote that Ross lied a lot, and another said that Rick was jealous of Drake. Some of the users were also seen complimenting Caresha on how she looked in the conversation. As was already said, Drake’s song “Push Ups” seemed to be aimed at a number of artists, including Rick Ross. When Push Ups came out in April of this year, they replied with a diss track called Champagne Moments that same month. In some of the lines, it was said that Drake had surgery to change the shape of his nose.

They kept fighting, and Rick said bad things about Drake in a few vids, where he was seen wearing Drake’s gear. Ross was seen in a club with Drake’s song playing in the background in one of the clips. Rick said in the video:

“Yes, he wrote this.” “No one would ever guess who wrote this.”

The friendship between Drake and Rick began in 2010 when Drake told XXL Magazine that Ross had asked him to work with him on a project. At first, they worked on different projects together, like Made Men and Aston Martin Music.

Later, Drake and Ross planned to work together on a song in 2011, and it seemed to be called Y.O.L.O. Even though they kept working together, Drake and Ross had some problems because Drizzy was in a fight with Meek Mill. Later, Ross was seen on Drink Champs in 2016 backing Mill in his fight with the Canadian rapper.

In an interview with Complex in 2020, Rick Ross gave an update on his record with Drake. He called it a “vibe” and added:

“You never know what could happen in the future, but me and Drake, him being in Miami at that time [in 2011-2012], and him coming by the crib every day, we was spending a lot of time together.”
