The indestructible assassin is back – and this time, the stakes have never been higher. After the earth-shattering events of the previous instalment, the legendary John Wick is set to return to our screens in an explosive new chapter next year.

The first full-length trailer for John Wick 5, released earlier today, teases a relentless and hard-hitting thrill ride that will leave audiences reeling. The clip opens with a brooding Keanu Reeves as the eponymous antihero, his grizzled face etched with a sense of grim purpose.

“They took everything from me,” Wick intones in a voice laced with smouldering rage. “My life. My love. And now, they’re coming for my soul.” The camera then cuts to a montage of bone-crunching fight sequences, high-octane car chases and jaw-dropping firearms displays that are sure to have fans of the series cheering with delight.

Joining Reeves in the ensemble cast are series stalwarts Ian McShane, Lance Reddick and Laurence Fishburne, as well as several new faces including Donnie Yen and Marko Zaror. The trailer hints at an epic showdown between Wick and a deadly new adversary, whose criminal empire threatens to tear apart the delicate underground assassin’s guild that has served as the backdrop for the franchise.

“This is the last stand,” Wick growls, as he reloads his signature Sig Sauer with an ominous click. “No more running. No more hiding. This ends tonight.”

Directed once again by the peerless Chad Stahelski, John Wick 5 promises to be an adrenaline-fueled masterclass in stylised action filmmaking. Keanu Reeves looks to be in career-best form, delivering a performance that will cement his status as one of the great modern action heroes.
