I’m a 17 year old guy, and I’ve recently been having this strange obsession with Ana De Armas recently for the past few months

It’s simple; you have a celebrity crush! You picked a good one☺️. I hope you enjoy it! It will eventually go away, but you’ll always have a soft spot for Ana De Armas.

I misspoke there, we don’t get to “pick” the people we crush on. It simply happens; it’s a hormonal reaction. I can assure you, you’re in good company. There are probably thousands of boys all over the world who feel the same way about Ana De Armas.

Is this the first time you’ve ever had a crush?

For young people, celebrity crushes are a way to prepare for the Real Thing. Celebrities are far away, like stars in the sky. We can never touch them or even really know what they are. Stars sparkle in the sky, winking at us, but really they are balls of fire like our sun. The light we see comes from millennia ago. Similarly, our movie stars have their image on little pixels in the ethernet from long ago. The real person is not what we see, could even be long gone, but what we see is the stuff dreams are made of.

Ana De Armas has the most angelic face and a beautiful body. She won the genetic lottery! Her eyes sparkle with intelligence and bonhomie. I first saw her as the Bond girl in the movie No Time To Die. I thought, why haven’t I seen this girl before?! Who is she? She’s drop-dead gorgeous and charismatic. The most beautiful actresses in the world are chosen to play opposite every James Bond: the loveliest at the peak of their beauty. James Bond goes through a juggernaut of threatening and horrible experiences. His reward at the end is getting to be with the Bond girl😊. That makes everything worth it.

Among Bond girls, Ana De Armas is one of the most memorable.

After No Time to Die, Ana De Armas was picked to be in a perfume commercial for the cosmetics powerhouse Estée Lauder (see video clip below). Again, the most beautiful women in the world are chosen represent fragrances in campaign ads: the most captivatingly beautiful at the height of their beauty.

At 36, Ana De Armas is much too old for you. Nineteen years older! More than twice your age! I know famous male actors often choose a woman that much younger in their middle-old age. But female ones don’t. They prefer conversation and accomplishment over youth in their partners. Cher is one exception, but she’s always been out there. Plus her first love (Sonny Bono) was so much older, maybe she’s been making up for it for the last few decades.

You’re 17 now. Let’s say you got together with Ana De Armas when you’re 35. She’ll be 54 then, still lovely, I’m sure, but 54 is 54. You would be her companion as she slowly ages, becomes elderly, and then leaves you alone for many years. She might have a couple kids, maybe 10 and 12 years old that you’d have to deal with: probably surly kids who hate you. They could even be younger if she freezes her eggs and uses a surrogate. I know a woman who just had her first baby at 51 that way!

But you’d never know Ana as she is now, captivating, astonishingly lovely. Can you imagine, even when she hardly spoke any English she played opposite Keanu Reeves? You might think of Keanu as an old man, but for a generation of women, he’s a serious heart throb. Not only that, Ana played Marilyn Monroe in the movie Blonde (2022). Marilyn Monroe! One of the most iconic beauties of the 20th century! Very few women can pull that off. Ana was the first Cuban to ever be nominated for an Academy Award for her work in Blonde.

You have a whole body of work to see from Ana De Armas. After you watch everything she’s done in English you can see her younger work, work she did when she was your age and a bit older, from Spain and before that, Cuba. Most of it is probably on DVD and thus attainable. After all, she must have hundreds of thousands of fans all over the world willing to pay for DVDs.

But while you’re obsessing about Ana de Armas, please remember that very, very few women in the world are as beautiful as her. It’s not fair to use those few as a standard of beauty for all. Someday a girl will love you and when we love, we think the object of our desire is the most gorgeous person in the world. Sometimes I think it’s a rare man who feels that way about the woman he’s with. But when it happens, when two people feel that way about each other…

They are unstoppable. Their’s is a romance that gives both in the duo strength, plus shelter to any children they have, and hope to everyone who sees them😊.

Ana as Marilyn Monroe in Blonde (left) and the real Marilyn Monroe (right). She really does look astonishingly like her. But, unlike the real Marilyn Monroe, Ana De Armas is made of stronger stuff. Marilyn died at 36, exactly the age Ana is now. We lost a great light then and it was twice ruled a probable suicide (once when it happened in 1962 and again in 1982), not accidental overdose, because of the sheer amount of barbiturates in her system. On the other hand, Marilyn was also known to have trouble with both insomnia with alcohol, which severely impairs judgment and lowers inhibitions. That can be a lethal combination when an intoxicated person reaches for another substance to help them fall asleep. It’s how we lost Michael Jackson, Janis Joplin, Prince, and Matthew Perry. Sleep is important, protecting sleep is important.

Truman Capote, who wrote Breakfast at Tiffany’s, wanted Marilyn Monroe in the starring role, but because of Marilyn’s problems with sleep and all the unreliability it caused, producers went with Audrey Hepburn. History was made; can you imagine anyone else in the role of Holly Golightly? (Maybe Ana de Armas😉😁.)

Maybe you can’t imagine being with anyone other than Ana de Armas, but someday you will😌. In the meantime, enjoy your crush!
