Most of the conversations leading up to the game have surrounded Clark, Reese, and Carter, but another Fever player entered the mix on Wednesday.

NaLyssa Smith was recently spotted at the Sky’s matchup against the Connecticut Sun. Some may initially think that Smith was there to scout Chicago, but WNBA fans shared true insight into the situation in the comments.

Many fans believe Smith was at the game to watch what some are calling her “ex,” DiJonai Carrington, a guard for the Sun.

Indiana Fever head coach Christie Sides talks to Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark (22) during a timeout Tuesday, May 28, 2024, during the game at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. The Los Angeles Sparks defeated the Indiana Fever, 88-82.

This has quickly turned heads online since fans are calling out Smith for rekindling the relationship, as well as speaking down on her preparation.

Smith and the Fever have a home game scheduled for Thursday night against the Atlanta Dream. They should all be ready to lock into game day and fight for the victory, but Smith isn’t even in the state. This led to some clear roasting of the Fever forward online.

Indiana is 3-10 on the season, which should infuriate the team, but Smith is playing with fire. She was already moved to the bench in June despite averaging 11 points for the Fever, so this move could cause even more trouble for Indiana.
